CASTELTON, located in Rutland County is about 15 miles west of Rutland and about 5 miles from the New York border. This picturesque town is also the home of Castleton University and Vermont’s largest inland lake. Lake Bomoseen is a bustling scene spring through the fall. Offering several lakeside restaurants and its own 9-hole golf course. Boating, fishing and waters sports along with its own State Park. There is also some great Ice Fishing too.
If it’s snow sports you prefer, located about 40 minutes to the Northeast is Okemo and Killington/Pico mountains. It’s very centrally located to be able to enjoy the best the Vermont has to offer!
